Fear Based Thoughts: How To Overcome Them?

Fear is something that comes naturally to the human mind, you ask so what’s the problem? The problem is that once fear comes to your mind, your mind wants more of it, due to which a sort of a circuit gets created in your brain because of which you become negative, stop believing in yourself and eventually let go of yourself totally.

The easiest way to stop this is by offensively attacking those fear based thoughts, I know, it’s easier said than done.

But you know what? Time will pass anyway, may as well introduce a new practice which in turn would get converted into a good habit.

All you have to do when negative thoughts, thoughts full of fear hit you is, speak out loud with positivity, say the opposite of what your negative thoughts say, or I like to say, your big mouthed head.

Tell him, you’re the one who’s under control, you control your thoughts and that you want only positivity, let go of all your negative thoughts.

If you do this consciously for over two weeks, you’ll start developing self awareness, once you’ve done that nothing in this world can stop you from reaching the pinnacle of success.

Along with the above mentioned technique, you could also make use of things that helped me out personally :

1. Listening to Music.

2. Going for a walk/jog.

3. Talking to your loved ones.

4. Meditation.

5. Simply, love what you do.

If you follow the aforementioned techniques in less than a month you’d have changed as a person.

Rape vs Sex: One is an Abhorrent Crime & The Other Is A Spiritual Activity?

After reading about atrocious rape cases and the fact that sex in this generation has become relatively easier to come I felt that it was my obligation to put forward my thoughts on two of the most agonizing yet slightly embarrassing and apprehensive topics. Shedding light on these two topics can be both beneficial as well as counter-intuitive since it could back-fire upon me.

Sex

An important term the meaning of which has been diluted by this generation. In the holy bible, the three letter word is said to be a sign of holiness, happiness as well as spirituality. Almighty, made two beings one being male, the other being female. Thus, gender is not a mere biological accident or social construction. The contrast  between the man and the woman reveal that gender is part of the goodness of God’s creation , they are complementary to each other.

Modern efforts to redefine or redesign gender are directly contrary to the Bible’s affirmation of maleness and femaleness as proper distinctions. God’s glory is seen in the maleness of the man and the femaleness of the woman. This pattern of distinction is affirmed and enforced by liturgical orders and restrictions on dress, hair length, etc. Any effort to confuse or deny gender differences is expressly forbidden and opposed by Scripture, especially as seen in Old Testament legal codes.

Sex, in olden days was seen as a way of making love( pure, passionate love) to your partner, now it has been diluted since the invasion of concepts like one night stands, who is to be blamed? The evolution of the human mind or is it just one of our evil tactics? In today’s world the holy word is some kind of a game for adolescents their parents need to teach them the spiritual reasons behind this lovely interaction of two beautiful souls.

love
Back then Sex was considered as passionately loving your partner.

On the contrary, sex is being looked upon as something disgraceful, it has unfortunately become a taboo.

You ask why?

Well, our primal, animal sexuality ignites fears of our own mortality. Only when it is embedded in a uniquely human context, like love and romance, is this not the case.

Perhaps, we wine and dine, and experience love, as methods to procreate without being riddled with our most basic fear : death.

According to an anthropologist , sex is such a problem because it reminds humans of their basic, core animal nature. Basically, humans deal with mortality concerns by embedding themselves in cultural symbolism (beliefs, values) or immortality beliefs (Heaven).

Cannibalistic, physical behaviors threaten the very things we use to confront our mortality fears. Put somewhat differently, Otto Rank argued that procreation via such a physical act is a direct threat to the idea that we are spiritual beings. Why would a spiritual being emerge from such a physical act? It is rather abominable.

Even though teens take it with a pinch of salt, sooner or later they feel guilty.

Rape

Rape has historically been a subject the public has shied away from speaking about and addressing as a society. Words like rape and sexual assault instantly make us feel uncomfortable and even dirty. We like to believe that horrible crimes like rape rarely occur so that we can distance ourselves from the effects of rape culture. Society likes to treat rape as a taboo subject, but in reality, its a bigger part of our world than we think.

On an average, a woman every two minutes in sexually assaulted, what this heinous crime does for the victim is it leaves him/her with repercussions throughout their lives, whereas for the assaulter it’s just a moment of pleasure, peace as they say.

Say no to Sexual Assault.

Every victim of sexual assault deserves justice regardless of their income, ethnicity, religion, education, gender or legal status. Maybe people are ignorant or naive, but it is clear that humanity does not understand the true impact of rape on our culture.

Rape is toxic and it distorts the victim’s very idea of love and security within relationships. Ultimately, rape is not just an act of singular physical attack, but an assault on the entire dimension of a person’s wellness causing repercussions that become a permanent part of the victim’s life.

Regardless of what anyone says, rape is never the fault of the victim. What a person wears, if he or she consumes substances, or if he or she is a part of the party scene does not in any way mean that a victim is even partially responsible for their attack.

Society, we have failed because while so many individuals are taken advantage of, we seldom hold those who commit assault accountable for their heinous offenses. Instead of creating excuses for the assaulter, we should be doing everything in our power to stand in solidarity with the victims. We should be outraged at lenient verdicts and perpetrators that do not show remorse for the actions, but instead we remain all too silent about the issue of rape.
